Operations

• Get the Face ID module connected with the Luban programmer, programmer connect with computer
• Cell phone connect with the computer and get into the recovery mode
• Install and run the LubanTool software, click the ‘Pearl Unbind’ button to unbind the dot projector

• Teardown the glass lens after the unbinding process is finished
• Mark with a cross scratch on the dot projector cable for future better alignment
• Grinding the metal shielding cover and take out the encrypted little board
• Remove the MOSFET, capacitor, and the encrypted chip with a hot air gun and special knife
• Solder the conversation chip on the position of the encrypted chip
• Then solder the Luban dot projector chip on the surface of the conversation chip
• Short the MOSFET related pins and solder back the capacitor

• Get the dot projector flex cable buckled on the Luban programmer then connect with computer and enter into recovery mode
• Click the ‘Pearl Bind’ button to bind the soldered chip
• Test with iFace tester again to ensure the dot projector works normally
• Get the dot projector cable and lens well installed and aligned, apply glue to fix the gap
• Install the flex cable and test the Face ID function again
